Wayne Fortney has always enjoyed the sport, and even met his wife Ann on a balloon ride in Bristol, Virginia. He started his Hot Air Balloon business Adventure Time Ballooning in 1996 after crewing for some of the best pilots in the world for several years. Wayne has taken his skills to the world stage in such events like the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, The International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, and Carolina BalloonFest to name a few.

He manages the balloon activities at the 4th of July festival in Lexington, VA named Balloons Over Rockbridge and his hometown event in Kingsport, TN named Fun Fest.

Wayne is always happy to share the sport of Hot Air Ballooning with all those who have questions and the desire to see the world from a new perspective.
